Op 1 juni 2018 promoveerde Martin Jaeger (cum laude) aan de Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen op het proefschrift getiteld: ‘Variation of immune response in health and disease’. Het onderzoek werd verricht op de afdeling Experimentele Interne Geneeskunde van het Radboudumc. Het onderzoek werd begeleid door prof. Mihai Netea, prof. Leo Joosten en dr. Vinod Kumar. De belangrijkste bevindingen van dit onderzoek staan hieronder beschreven.
