Op 2 september 2010 promoveerde mw. drs. H.P.A.A. van Veen aan de Universiteit Leiden op het proefschrift getiteld Difficult-to-treat asthma. Haar promotors waren prof. dr. K.F. Rabe en prof. dr. E.H. Bel. In dit artikel worden de belangrijkste bevindingen van haar proefschrift weergegeven.
